avant les vacances

12 May 2016

Thursday was a normal day. Nothing out of the ordinary. But you can tell everyone is getting ready for the holiday weekend. After work, I met a friend for wine at Cafe Luna. I’m on this rose/blush kick on the warm days.

Also Jer booked what will likely be our next trip today. Bordeaux here we come the beginning of June! Recommendations on vineyards are welcome!

Today was Friday the 13th and yet there weren’t any crazy things that happened, however there were some characters out on the Metro.

After work, Jer and I went for a run, which I’m pretty sure I pulled my hip and have arthritis. Ok, I may be exaggerating a bit, but everything hurts. (She is exaggerating – Jer)

After we got home, we showered and decided to go out for dinner. We wanted to stay close to our apartment since we were headed out early in the morning, so we headed down to the Trocadero. We ended up eating at Cafe Trocadero which looks right at the Eiffel tower. We had some solid people watching with dinner, and the food was surprisingly good (yet a bit over priced being such a touristy spot as the Trocadero). We sat at the cafe through the top of the hour to watch the Eiffel Tower sparkle then headed home to make sure we had enough time to finish packing for our first trip outside of Paris!
