Today was a great day. Our stuff finally arrived at our apartment from the US. There were, of course, some hiccups.

First, the delivery was suppose to be early afternoon. Well, the van showed up unannounced around 10:15. I was at work and got the message from Jer that they had arrived. I had planned to leave around 14:30. Needless to say, I moved some meetings around and was home by 12:00.

The other hiccup was that all the boxes had to be unpacked, all 35 of them, our apartment looked like a disaster zone. There was stuff everywhere, no where to sit or even lean. When I got home at 12:00 Jeremy and the movers were unpacking the last box. I walked around (very carefully) taking it all in. Holy anxiety. We had our work cut out for us.

We mostly finished unpacking around 22:00 (which we didn’t realize how late it was and had not eaten).

What a long day. But our home is now OUR home. We have our memories from home, our things to make things feel complete, room to really start living here and making new memories.
